Features

Everything you need to log, program, and review.

Obsidian is a workout tracker for serious athletes. Log weights, calisthenics progressions, and cardio. Track PRs for weight, reps, and hold time. Fully featured with no paywall.

Core features

Four pillars of a complete training log.

Log, program, review, and back up. Everything you need in one app — nothing locked behind a paywall.

01

Log

Log sets without friction

Record weight, reps, hold time, and RIR or RPE for every set. Mark warmups, working sets, and dropsets. Rest timer and hold timer built in.

02

Program

Run structured programs

Build multi-block schedules with training and rest days. Start today's workout from the home screen and pick up where the program left off.

03

Review

Review what you actually did

See personal records, weekly volume by muscle group, and cardio totals. Export set history to CSV when you want a spreadsheet.

04

Backup

Your data, your choice

Use the app as a guest with local storage, or create an account to back up workouts to the cloud. Export or delete your data from Account settings.

Training workflow

Covers each part of your training week.

From the first warmup set to reviewing last month's volume, each step has a clear place in the app.

01

Logging

Active workout logging

Move exercise by exercise, log each set, and let the rest timer run between sets. Add or remove exercises mid-session without losing data.

  • Weight, reps, hold time, and RPE per set
  • Warmup, working, and dropset types
  • Hold timer and rest timer built in
02

Programs

Structured workout planning

Create workout templates with specific exercises, number of sets and reps, and rest times between sets. Then create multi-week workout programs with different blocks such as accumulation and peaking phases.

03

Cardio

Cardio tracking

Log treadmill runs, cycling, StairMaster, and HIIT work with duration, distance, incline, and other metrics in the same session as lifting.

04

Progress

PRs, volume, and export

Check personal records per lift, see muscle-group volume over time, and download your set history as CSV.

05

Load the bar with the plate calculator, switch lb/kg, and choose RIR or RPE as your default intensity metric.
