You may use guest mode without an account. If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

Your content

You retain ownership of workout logs, programs, and other content you submit ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited license to host, store, back up, and display Your Content solely to operate and improve the Service. You represent that you have the rights needed to submit Your Content.

Health and fitness disclaimer

Obsidian is a training log and planning tool, not medical advice. We do not provide coaching, diagnosis, or treatment. Consult a qualified professional before starting or changing an exercise program. You assume all risk of injury or harm from physical activity. We are not liable for injuries or health outcomes related to your training.

Free service

The Service is currently offered free of charge. We may introduce optional paid features in the future. If we do, we will describe them clearly before you are charged. See our pricing page for current information.

Intellectual property

The Service, including its design, branding, built-in exercise library, and software, is owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you rights to our trademarks or branding except as needed to use the Service.

Third-party services

The Service may rely on third-party providers for authentication, hosting, and analytics. Your use of those features may be subject to their terms and privacy policies.

Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account from settings. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Sections that by nature should survive termination will survive, including disclaimers and limitations of liability.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT DATA WILL NEVER BE LOST.

Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE AND OUR SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) FIFTY US DOLLARS (USD $50).
